Riverside Residence | Custom Open-Concept Home 4 Bed | 4.5 Bath
A study in structural transparency and open-concept living. For the Riverside Residence, we eliminated partition walls to create a continuous spatial flow between the kitchen, dining, and living zones. The design utilizes large-format glazing and pocket doors to dissolve the boundary between the interior and the exterior deck, maximizing natural light.
Key Features:
Structural Integration: expansive spans allowing for column-free entertaining areas.
Custom Millwork: integrated storage solutions to maintain a minimalist aesthetic.
En-Suite Planning: every bedroom features private baths for privacy and comfort.
Modern two-story custom home in Riverside County with low-pitch roof and stucco finish.
Evening visualization highlighting the glazing strategy. Large floor-to-ceiling windows create a lantern effect, blurring the line between indoor and outdoor living.
Exposed wood rafter tails and tongue-and-groove soffit construction detail. Detailed view of the roof overhang construction.
Structural wood framing and shear wall paneling.
Construction progress on a "View Wall." We are framing the rough opening for a multi-slide door system.
Interior of a garage with exposed wooden studs and insulation on the ceiling.
Interior of a building under construction, with drywall installation in progress, scaffolding on the left, and construction materials and tools scattered on the floor.
Minimalist kitchen design with island, recessed lighting, and under-cabinet LEDs.
Transforming a circulation space into a design feature. We utilized a skylight well (or clerestory window) to wash the hallway wall with natural light. This technique reduces the "tunnel effect" common in hallways and highlights the vertical volume of the space.
Contemporary seating area with built-in desk and large picture window. Custom millwork design for a home office.
The shed roof pitch (single-slope) is oriented to maximize solar gain for passive heating while directing rainwater away from the back entry.
